Welcome to Endure Survive Thrive. This is a safe place to talk about abuse of any kind, how to endure it, survive it, and thrive after it.

Who am I?

My name is Nichole and I am an abuse survivor. This is my journey through it and learning to heal from it. My motto has been: endure, survive, and thrive.

I created this site as a way to express my thoughts and feelings on going through hell for 7 years. Here, I’ll dive into the various “events” of my life, what I felt at the time, and how I feel now.

What will I talk about?

Some of the topics I want to cover include sexual harassment and assault, emotional and mental abuse, and narcissism. I’ve experienced all of those things, in quick succession (hence the 7 year comment). I will not use actual names of anyone involved, to protect myself and others. I will not tolerate bullshit comments and bullying. Please be respectful to me and each other.

The stages of abuse, of any kind, are endure, survive, and thrive. Each of us has gone through those stages. They vary in length from person to person, but it is always the same stages. I’ll be covering aspects of each stage.

When will I post?

I’ll be posting weekly, every Thursday. If you have topics you’d like me to cover, leave them in the comments for me and I’ll try to get to them. I’ll write an “about me” post soon so you have a better understanding of my background.

I’ll probably get a little personal and I don’t have a much of a filter anymore, so there might be a cuss word or two as well (see above). If you don’t like that kind of language, consider this your only warning.

This is going to be messy, thoughtful, emotional, and triggering for some of you. That’s okay. I want it to be all of those things and more. I want to relate to others who have been through these things and I want them to relate to me. Together we can survive and learn to thrive.
